The 2022 Harrogate Advent Festival Composers Competition

Committed to providing a platform for new liturgical music for the seasons of Advent and Christmas, Harrogate Advent Festival is delighted to call for entries for our 2022 composition competition. Judged by three leading young British composers, Piers Connor Kennedy, Niki Zodhi, and Vivek Haria, alongside the celebrated composer former master of music at York Minster Philip Moore, the winning three compositions will be performed at the 2022 festival: the winner by Ensemble Pro Victoria on Friday 25th, and the second and third during the Advent Procession on Sunday 27th.

Prize money in order is £250, £200 and £150, plus recordings of the works live from the festival.
